Swing Patrol Glebe

Smack dab in the middle of Glebe, in the beautifully restored Glebe Town Hall, we hold weekly beginner classes for Swing Era dances (1920s to the 40s)!

Lindy Hop, or ‘swing’ is an umbrella term used to describe an energetic dance, that originated in Harlem in the 1920s and evolved to the post-war era, which included the charleston and vernacular jazz. The revival of Lindy Hop took place in the early 80s and is now back with a bang! It’s all the rage!!

Charith and Sophie teach beginner's Lindy hop on Tuesday nights at the gorgeous Glebe town hall!
